Miss Karen, our Director, begins her 29th year at St. Catherine's Preschool. She began at the Preschool as the Movement teacher in her first 2 years at the Preschool. Miss Karen loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, and walking. Proud mom to Lyndsey (married to Preston) and Jeff and even prouder grandma to 2 beautiful granddaughters, Amelia (4) and Eden "Edie" (4 mos.). Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she is one of five girls in her family. Her mom wanted to name her Gemma, but her dad said no. So now, her 2 granddaughters call her Gemma!
Miss Sarah begins her 5th year at the Preschool loving her role as Preschool Administrator. She has been part of the St. Catherine's family for many years, including her time at "The Big School". Her daughter, Grace (14) is a graduate ot the "Big School". She loves spending time with her family, her husband of 19 years, Jaime and their dogs. An enthusiastic participant in 5ks, Miss Sarah rises every day at 3:30am to run. A fromer tuba player, she also enjoys reading, sleeping, chocolate, amazon & coffee.
Although this is her third year teaching, Miss Karen and her family have been part of the St. Catherine's Family since we were in the little white church on Cherokee Street. Miss Karen and her husband, Jeff have seven children, all Preschool graduates - Daniel (25), Benjamin (23), Victoria (21), Bernadette (19), Anastasia (17), Seraphina (14 ) and Veronica (12). Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Miss Karen was a professional ballerina, touring overseas and has been teaching dance for over 30 years. She loves children, dancing traveling, reading and learning new things, hiking, boating and swimming keeps busy with her family and their activities.
Miss Pat begins her first year at the Preschool, but she has been in education for many, many years - most recently as the director of St. Joseph's Preschool. Married to her husband, Kevin for 44 years, they have 3 children Ryan, Nolan and Meghan. Nolan and Meghan both live in Brooklyn, NY. Ryan and his wife, Emily have 2 children, Owen and Margaux and live in San Diego. Miss Pat is originally from Kentucky, but has lived in Marietta for 33 years. She enjoys designing and making greeting cards as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. She loves to travel and visit her children and grandchildren. Miss Pat also enjoys line dancing, playing mahjong, reading and sewing.
Beginning her 16th year at the Preschool, Miss Melissa and the Robinson Family have been a Preschool Family since 2003 when her oldest son, Greyson (23) began his time here. He's now a senior at KSU! Anthony (21), a senior at UGA and Alaina (17), a senior at NPHS, also graduated from St. Catherine's Preschool. Originally from Long Island, NY, where she was a copetitive swimmer through college, Melissa and her husband of 26 years, John love spending time with their family and friends. Miss Melissa enjoys family game nights, being a dance, band, & soccer mom, traveling and relaxing on the beach. She loves the Friday Night lights at NPHS - Go Wolfpack! Miss Melissa cheers for the NY Yankees, Knicks and Giants, UGA football and ATL United soccer.
Miss Linda began her time at the Preschool in 2000. Through the years, she has taken a few breaks for the birth of her youngest daughter, Caroline (17 & now a senior in HS) and then later to help after her daughter Coleen (30) and her husband, Robbie blessed the family with their beautiful daughter, Avery, who attends the Preschool. Miss Linda also has a son, Connor (27). A native of Long Island, New York and a graduate of New York Institute of Technology, Miss Linda enjoys spending time with her family, trying new foods and new recipes, listening to music and puzzles.
