Leslie McCloskey
Hello! My name is Leslie McCloskey and I teach the older twos here at St. Catherine’s. This will be my twelfth year teachin the Twos and I would not trade places with any other teacher! They are my ablolute favorite group of kids… always eagar, full of questions, and lots of love. I am a “Jersey Girl” and can honestly say after 16 years living here in Georgia, the only thing I miss is a juicy, Jersey tomato, Silverqueen corn, and a Pat’s Philly cheesesteak. (If you’ve ever tasted these veggies, you know why NJ is called the Garden State.) As for the cheesesteak, the “City of Brotherly Love” is the only place to get a really good one or an authentic soft pretzel for that matter! My husband Glenn and our four boys don’t allow me to forget my sports team loyanlties either.
We are DIE-HART Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers fans! I am waiting eagerly for another World Series title and maybe a Super Bowl Championship with our new dream team! And yes, I have run to the top of the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, pumped my fists in the air, and sang the theme song from Rocky… every proud Tri state native has!
I spend most of my free time worrying about my two oldest sons who are a freshman (GCSU) and a junior (Georgia Southern) in college. You get the picture! When I’m not a spectator, I love to snow ski, play any kind of outdoor game/sport, read, putz around my yard, watch the sunset at the beach, and chase our three labrador dogs, Max, Angel, and Scoobey Doo.

I am beginning my sixth year as an assistant teacher at St. Catherine’s Preschool. I was born and raised in Cobb County, GA and graduated from South Cobb High. I received by BBA from the University of Georgia (let’s just say a long time ago!) My husband’s name is Bender. He is from Mobile, AL and graduated from Auburn University.
We will celebrate our 23rd anniversary in October and have lived in Kennesaw for 17 years. We have three sons: Bo is 21 and is starting his fourth year at Auburn; Connor is 19 and is a freshman at Georgia Tech; and Jack is 14 and is a freshman at Kennesaw Mountain High. We have a sweet day named Winston. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity and look forward to another great year!
