St. Catherine’s Preschool is looking to purchase and replace our current wooden playground. This unit has given St. Catherine’s Parish over 10 years of wonderful fun memories and it is time to update. If you would be interested in serving on a committee to help design and choose a new playground, please give our preschool office a call at 770-590-0480.

"Donuts for Dad" for our Two year old classes is set for Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday, February 8th. The theme is "Honk, Honk, Beep, Beep Away We Go!"  The event will begin at
11:00 a.m. in rooms #316/317!  Hope to see all our 2s Dads at SCS!

Coming Soon - 5 ALIVE!!!

Beginning August 2012, St. Catherine’s Preschool opens a new class – 5 ALIVE!!!

This class builds on the already successful Early 5’s and represents an extended educational experience for those children who will be 5 years of age by the first day of preschool in August of 2012 or will be five years of age by February 29, 2013.

As the students reach the age of five, they can join the 5 Alive program “in progress” and add time to their school day.

The extended activities include expanded science and math training as well as Scholastic Weekly Reader and Bible class.

St. Catherine’s Preschool will be hosting an Information Session and Campus Tour
on Saturday, January 21, 2012 starting at 10:00 a.m. in room #316/317 of Our Lady of Grace.

Prepare Your Hearts

Our preschool is alive with the spirit of the season as we walk with the children and teach them to prepare their hearts for the birth of our Lord.  We have many learning activities to guide the children to think about how Jesus would act and in their daily choices how to make their hearts more like Jesus would want them to be. 

You have no doubt heard about the “Good Deed Straws” that fill Jesus’ bed with acts of love and kindness and about the Jesse Tree, how each decoration represents a person on the family tree of Jesse, the father of David, and the significant promise that God’s only Son would be born into that family.   The Jesse Tree and Good Deed Straws are located by the Library – stop and see our wonderful learning tools.

2011 Book Fair

Our 3rd Barnes and Noble Book fair was a huge success. It was wonderful to see all the families laughing, eating homemade cookies, listening to Father John read to our children, and watching our teacher's show – all in support of our preschool library.
